Welcome to Brighton and Hove Inclusion Project
BHIP provides inclusive opportunities where all children and young people are encouraged to play, socialise, share and learn together in a safe and supported environment. We bring together children and young people with disabilities/special needs, from families with low income and those who speak English as a second language to interact and develop with their peers.
We believe that play and socialising are a vital part of growing up as they aid children and young people’s development in building confidence, interpersonal skills and life skills that equip them for adult life.
We also believe that Inclusion is about connecting people around what they have in common. It brings acceptance and understanding of others, self confidence, celebration of difference and individuality, and equal opportunities which is important to our children and young people as well as to our society as a whole.
