Trip to Washbrooks Farm – 11th April 2012
Easter 2012 Playscheme
On a wet Wednesday in April we set off with our wellies, raincoats and lunch boxes for a most enjoyable trip to Washbrooks Farm in Hurstpierpoint.
We travelled with Community Transport who were well organised and very helpful. The children thoroughly enjoyed the adventure playground particularly the ‘jumping pillow’ indeed some of the staff were brave enough to try this out!!

Rain did not stop play but we did shelter for lunch in the cabin. The soft play room was also a huge favourite with all of the children as was the tractor ride. We had a snack of homemade flapjack, made by the children before we left the community centre, and an ice lolly before the minibus arrived to return us to Hangleton.
A very relaxing and enjoyable trip.

SUMMER 2009
We had an exciting and playful time filled with a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities for children to choose from.
A total of 37 children aged from 3yrs to 11yrs attended the playscheme this summer, 25 families in total.
The theme this year was ‘Around the World’ we enjoyed croissants, home made pizza, home made bread from Ethopia and Ireland, stir fry vegetables and pancakes with maple syrup. The children enjoyed music, playing with trains, pool table, indoor tennis using balloons, dressing up, face painting, den making, sand play, paper mache, Lego, creating sculptures and covering them with mod rock, the playworkers certainly enjoyed this activity. I nearly forgot the water play. We made full use of the facilities at Hangleton, the soft play room, the playground, the woods where we played monsters, the bouncy castle and on 3 occasions enjoyed the resources provided by the visiting Playbus.
These are some of the comments received from Parents:
‘Just a note to say thank you for making my son’s time at BHIP so fun. He is going to miss it but look forward to seeing you all again in Oct.’
‘Thank you very much for looking after us, we’ve had a great time’
‘My sons thoroughly enjoyed their day at BHIP. I was very impressed with the care and attention the staff showed towards the children. What a fantastic place!’
‘To all the lovely BHIP people. Thank you so much for making my summer much less stressful! My son loves coming to BHIP and playing with the trains (and now outside) and I enjoy the well needed break! I think BHIP is fab and we will definitely be back next year. Special thanks to you all – you are a warm and welcoming team!’
